From a seller one would expect a better knowledge of his items.

It happens often out there and that seller certainly isn't immune to making this same mistake.

In his defense, I dont know how many doubles he has “in stock”, but it must be impressive!! I have a hard time keeping up with 40 or so!!

For a mere pittance of 2500.00 you could make it 41.

No Doubt!!! Definitely want to pay that for a well worn O grade!! If I had a few sheckels in my “buy” fund, I would be buying the Baker Paragon for sale currently in our forum, and happily move the body count upwards!

I don't know what his provenance is to proclaim this a Grade 3, since there is no mention in the Serialization Book. I have asked this seller for PGCA letters on expensive guns in the past, but have not gotten this information. The guns I have inquired about have been on his website for years. The gun in question is probably higher than Grade 0, but definitely not a Grade 3. I don't look for him to change his description, nor do I look for him to provide me with provenance on another gun that I am interested in.

It looks to me like he is relying on the “D” on the barrel flats for his diagnosis, when in fact that is the code for Damascus tubes, which does seem a little unusual for a lower grade gun. But, who knows!

When Twist arrels came on the Parker scene they replaced the Damascus barrels that had been used on grades 0 and 1.

I have attempted to do business with him and was cautioned at the beginning by other forum persons that this sellers guns seem to always have something wrong with them which my not be fully disclosed. enough said. I passed on a Rem 1894 C grade that I had questions he could or would not answer.
