I just looked at an 8ga lifter SN 79582. Not near any books but that has to be about the last lifter. Anyone have any higher numbers?

I don't know how accurate this will be, I did an eyeball scan of the serialization book from 79582 up to 90000 and only found one, a 16ga grade 0 lifter 82435. But, the book and/or my eyes may not be accurate, but that's about the best I could find. So, that may be the next to last???

Likely to be the last 8 gauge lifter though.

John- it's a 7 frame with 34" barrels. Weighs 14lbs 13oz. Unstruck barrel weight is 10-6!

i think the last 8 ga made was up in the 116.000 range prpbably closer to 118.000...this gun you have found sounds like a good first 8 ga for you it will build your muscles up for sure get you in good shape for turkey season...there is only 1 light weight 8 ga that i know of on this forem maybe the owner will pitch in....charlie
