View Full Version : Volunteer Reporters Needed

At each of our PGCA events we have been fortunate enough to have some dedicated members provide articles or 'reports' of the event that we can publish in Parker Pages and we all thank those folks who have made the time to do so.
We need such volunteers or 'reporters' for the upcoming events in North Carolina in late April. Someone to cover the PGCA vs. LCSCA Challenge Cup and what went on in the shared tent... along with high quality pictures.
We also need somebody to briefly report on other aspects of the Southern - the other tents; the SC course; etc.
And we need somebody to cover the Hall of Fame Induction and Banquet, also including high qualitg photos of the inductees, the display of guns, and some of the guests.
Again, we greatly appreciate the contributions of those who have done this in the past but we can't expect them to continue doing it, unless of course they volunteer to do so.
Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks Chuck - very much appreciated!
I don't think I should rely entirely on you Chuck so I hope others will step forward and offer to help out.

That's right Rich - Kathy and I won't be able to be there, though this year in particular I hate to miss it... primarily because I wanted very much to attend the Hall of Fame Induction where my three very good friends, Mark Conrad, Bill Mullins, and Art Wheaton will be honored and I truly wanted to share in homoring them.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. I'll miss Ernie's this year due to a scheduling conflict with another shoot. I'll miss a few targets for you though:)

Thanks Rich - I wouldn't be able to do it on my own and I'm thankful for the help... :corn:

I'll bring my Nikons (750 and 850) and shoot pics how high a pixel count do you want? Also will be at the HOA dinner.

Thanks very much Michael for your generous offer.
A minimum of 600 pixels per inch is necessary for publication, which often requires cropping which, of course, causes the loss of definition. So in effect, the highest pixel count you can provide is always the best choice.
Again, thanks.

The 750 will shoot 12 meg jpegs or 23 meg raw files and the 850 will shoot 25 meg jpegs of 46 meg Raw files. I think that should work.

I agree as long as you have it set to a high resolution.
Thank you Mike.
A note to others reading this - some of the newer "smart" phones and iPads are capable of excellent high resolution pictures suitable for publication.

Those supplying pictures of people at these events are asked to please supply names of the folks in the pictures.
Thanks
