Sioux Falls SoDak , 30,000 people expected. We are here in 1723-1725 North Bldg with 35 guns from A to V, external and internal hammers.
A few photos. The fellow with the tan western hat won the sporting clays championship of Nebraska 2017 with a Trojan. PGCA member. The gal with the blue hair is a SoDak farmer friend on whose land we hunt pheasants each fall. She has a quite the week pulling calves and keeping a gun handy to shoot coyotes.
A great dinner last night with the bunch. Jeff and Bernadette Christie, Jeff and Coleen Kappes, Ed and Liz Morgan, Tom Wooden, Jeff Kuss , Dick Dow, and me .

Thanks for the update & photos. Looks like a great time and presentation of Parker guns. I think the LC Smith group is also there.

Bruce and all, Thanks for representing our PGCA at Pheasant Fest again. You all have really carried the ball a long time promoting our favorite shotgun and the PGCA. Ed has sold many, many tickets there and for lots of people it may be the first Parker they have ever seen.

Another reason to own Parkers. You become a chick magnet.

Many thanks to the nice men taking care of the display for three days. Not as easy as it looks. My daughter Morgan and I had volunteered to work the Drahthaar booth on Saturday 9 to 1, but got to walk around in the afternoon and check out the Parker booth. Where in the Midwest could a fella go to see so many really nice Parkers all in one place and be able to tap into that much knowledge and experience ?? Honestly ?? You could spend a lifetime walking Midwest gun shows and never get close ! The fellas were all really nice and they have forgotten more than I will probably ever know. What a treat ! Thanks again for helping to generate interest, Mark

Tom Wooden flew in from Houston TX, Jeff Kuss from Valparaiso IN, Dick Dow from Fullerton CA. From shorter distances , Ed Morgan drove from Galena, IL. I hauled much of the exhibit stuff up from Kansas City. From Ada MN came Pete Kappes and Jeff Christie came from Lake Okoboji Iowa.
A lot of people go the distance to get together with friends and help the PGCA.

Nice event and to be politically correct in this victimized snow flake world we live in, those are great pics of the guns and booze. All you need is cigar vendor in those pics and you wold have drawn attention of ATF.
Thanks for posting those pics. BTW next time you guys should dress in period hunting clothing for era those guns were made. Just kidding. Great stuff and looks like you had fun and met some great people.

Yes. You could help by joining the PGCA and coming to help out. Period clothing or not we can always use people to answer questions by show attendees. We have an on line membership application.
By the way we sold out all of the raffle gun tickets. No more left. We will have to print more if we decide to continue the offer.
L-R. Ed Morgan, Jeff Christie, me, Jeff Kuss, Pete Kappes . Tom Wooden and Dick Dow momentarily absent.
Next year Pheasant Fest is in Schaumburg Illinois , a suburb of Chicago. Some major help will be needed there. I have avoided there and don’t even know if I could keep the truck gun under the seat.

Touche Bruce;
Dreaming one day when I won't feel guilty in that indulgence. About to have two boys in college. I guess I am the next in line old generation that appreciates these old guns and will probably be more active in a few more years, unless I get a big windfall of wampum. If and when that happens, Katy bar the door.
BTW been around guns and hunting all my life, but what I am learning about Parkers is what you guys are teaching me, and I have had at least 1 Parker always in possession for last 40 years. Dad has picked up few shooters that will also make it my way I hope a long time from now. All I have done is shot Parker's sparingly and cared for them. BTW a 16 gauge VH I have now, best I can tell has never been opened and was with a small lad with my dad when he bought it. Gun works flawlessly, is tight and has no operational issues, scared to even touch with a screwdriver.
The only thing I could help with is one day history since I love archaeology, and you guys know way more than I do, but hopefully getting there.

I talked to the Sioux Falls organizer of Phez Fest, and they are extremely happy with the turnout and the quality of the Pheasants Forever group. They served something like 1500 dinners - a record for PF. They look forward to being able to host the event again in the future

Thanks John.
2019 PF is by Chicago, a two day drive for me. I don’t know if I will do it again but we would need at least four or five members who would bring guns and stay all days from Fri through Sun. We pay our own way, the PGCA pays for nothing.

Thanks for displaying for the PGCA and letting more hunters realize that is the best side by side ever made in the USA is the Parker. By using a side by side you let everyone know that you are not shooting for the market.

Having hunted with the Chick Magnet I can assure you his prowess is in no way hampered by just having two shots.
