Anyone have info or a review about this maker and this model? I am looking hard at a 16 gauge combo set....lightly used. It has a seldom seen round knob pistol grip stock and double triggers. Purdey style engraving. I like it and the chokes would be nice for early season grouse at SK/IC and also late season with the IC/Mod set of barrels both 28". The price is 10,500.00 and I think I could buy it for a bit less. Thanks all SXS Ohio....

You might find that gun too heavy for your work Kenny...

Terry Weiland wrote a review about the company in his book Spanish Best. The company is the youngest in Eiber Spain and began making guns in 1959. The 103A is made in Holland pattern and is in the middle of the run in cost of what they produce as far as price and engraving options. They are all hand made with detachable locks and hand engraved and case hardened frame and locks. In 1987 They sold that gun without the extra barrel set for about $4,000.00. Looks like they only make about 300 guns per year.

It comes in at 6lb-6oz You are correct about that....)-: would prefer it at 6lbs even. The Spanish guns seldom are that light, most are over 6lb-8oz. I will say a light 16 can be hard on the shoulder, none of my guns have recoil pads. Its a trade off on a grouse gun. I have started loading a 16ga target shell...easy on the shoulder for my light 16-s 2-3/4" hull, win 209, 15 grains of International, Down range wad with one thin filler card under 7/8 oz of shot. Great crimp, good solid ignition and they break clays good. I have been looking for a Arrieta but have yet to find miss right! Few English or Spanish guns have a pistol grip. That's why I like this Garbi. SXS Ohio

A friend has a 20 gauge Garbi (don't know the model) but it looks like an English best gun. It's his grouse gun. It's a beauty. Only drawback to his gun (IMHO) is that he drank the Churchill Kool Aide and ordered 25" barrels.
