I have always heard that the opening lever being a little to the right is good but how far too the right can it be? Looking at a shooter price 800.00...VH, no safety, locks up tight, 30 inch barrels ring, very good dimensions, does have a nicely done repair at the head of the stock, lever is quite a ways to the right with the tip over to the edge of the tang...rejoint not done correctly?

Is it on face? Do the barrels fit and the dolls head fit? Do the barrels have the the replaceable wedge on the rear lug? Has the rear lug been worked on? These are the things that I would look at.

The concave in the rib carries onto the feame and also onto the top lever. This concave should be in line across all 3 parts. Period. If the top lever is not in line, then the bolt/bite is not fitted properly.
In regards to the whole “right/left of center” thing, I have said it before and i will say it again, lever positon on a Parker means little.
