What is the easiest way to measure the choke in your shotgun. Is it safe to shoot 2 1/2 lenth shells in a gun that is 2 /34 or vise versa?.
I have a 1924 1 fram Parker.

See below. Also look at past posts, we covered this subject many times. The bottom line answer is that shell length as you posed the question makes minimal difference.

The best way to measure choke is with a bore gauge. I don't know what the easiest way is.

Yes, I remember seeing a few threads on this subject. I did try to find the thread. Had no luck....... I do remember reading that you can shoot a 2 3/4 inch. shell in a 2 1/2 chamber gun.

and many shells are not 2 3/4" when fired regardless of what the box says.
