Further details to follow (they will also be printed in the Parker Pages and LC Smith Journal).

This year in addition to the 16 gauge challenge event we are adding a 20 gauge challenge event.
Both will be five stand formats run by Rick Hemingway. He will use both five stands at the Spring Southern so we can have both events running simultaneously.
As before qualify as many times as you like. Your highest score will be the one that counts. The top five scores from each team and each gauge will then face off in a shoot off with totally different targets. (one shoot off for 16 ga and one for 20 ga)

When: Thursday April 26th, starting at 9am, qualifying to be cut off around 3:30 pm
Where: Deep River, the dove field at the five stands run by Rick Hemingway.
No registration fee.
Trophies awarded to the top five scores (each gauge)
Perpetual trophy awarded to the winning team for each gauge event.

Please come out and enjoy some sub gauge five stand fun.

Mike,

Looking forward to it. Wishing you fellas safe travels.

Trophies should be here this week or early next week.
Mint julep cups engraved.
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th places for each 16 and 20 ga

I will try to post some pictures once they arrive. I am not so good with computers and posting pictures and all that stuff.

The Smith guys have been out practicing and are getting ready. We need to meet them head on and win some this year. A clean sweep would be really really cool. (20 ga, 16 ga, Challenge cup, hammer challenge cup wins all by team Parker. Now that would be something and give Dean some great info for the Parker Pages. :)

That would be the stuff that dreams are made of.
I hope Team Parker sweeps the entire event!

Guys,

In 2016 LC Smith won the following:
16 ga event, 8 bore event, challenge event and the hammer challenge event.

It can be done. TEAM PARKER can do it.

Darn right we can!
All we need to do is plow this new snow off the SC and trap fields so we can practice, practice, practice!

Thanks,

Spoke to Rick today.
Things are a go and on for the 16 and 20 ga challenge events.
Two separate five stands (one for each gauge), qualifying targets (30) as many times for each gauge as you want (just make sure you are on the correct five stand for the gauge), then all new targets for each for the five man team shoot offs.

Registration will be with the person Rick assigns for this in the tent and she will also be collecting the monies.

Hope all who wish to participate can make it. Team Parker needs your help so please come on out and shoot for your organization.

Since the sub gauge events are separate can I shoot a Smith in the 16 ga challenge and a Parker in the 12 ga. challenge?

John Truitt

Yes you can shoot both.

Heck shoot a 16 parker and 16 smith. It is only your highest score that counts.

But yes you can do that.

An update for those that had not yet heard the results, Team LCS won the 16g Challenge by a margin of 4 birds. Team LCS also won the 20g by an even narrower margin of 1 lousy stinking target!!!!! :cuss: We did get revenge and won both the Main Challenge by 3 birds and the Hammer Gun Challenge by 7 birds!!! TEAM PARKER IS BACK BABY!!!!!
