I have a vhe single trigger 12 ga with two taped holes on the rib by the breech end. Is this on any other gun or after market? Ant info would be helpful. Thanks Loren

Probably drilled for mounting some kind of rear sight. Are the holes tapped?

Yes they are. Very small I have not check to see the tap size. Other than that my gun is very nice. Thanks for the info. Loren

Would the spacing of the holes match these? This is a Naydar reflective sight. The top plate and screws are not connected to the rib, just the bottom plate. IIRC there are only two screw holes in the rib. One at the front and one at the back.

I have a 20 gauge VHE with tapped holes. I have several Nydar sights and none of them have bases that match my holes. My holes are 5-40, four of them.

That Nydar Reflex sight looks like fun to try.
I learned something, it is apparently based on the sights in fighter planes. I did not know that.

I've shot the L.C. Smith with the Nydar sight and it works great. As long as you don't mind holding your head up and off the stock, that is.

The first hole measures 1&3/8 in. from the end of the breech. The next hole is 2&1/2 inches on center apart. THANKS for the info. Looks like those sights are on a nice L.C. Thanks again. I am not sure if those sights have same hole pattern.
