I believe I have hopefully purchased the earliest Parker Receiver I've ever heard of much less seen. Any input? Only some type of emblem where the serial number should be. And hand carved is the number 63.56377

Lester, welcome to the Parker Forums! It's always nice to have new voices join in the conversations.
I saw your post and was quite intrigued at first but unfortunately was let down when I saw the picture. Your receiver is not a Charles Parker or Parker Brothers piece but rather a Belgium made gun that used the Parker name. It is not uncommon for new enthusiasts to the Parker Bros arena to seek information on their fantastic find only to be let down when they discover it's not what they thought. It's a let down for us here too, as we are always interested in what fellow members or associates bring to the table. I hope that you'll remain interested in the Parker Bros brand because they are indeed fine American made firearms that are robust and greatly sought out by collectors and shooters alike. Keep looking, there are lots of good ones still out there waiting to be discovered.
Please keep visiting the forums. There is a wealth of information shared here!

After research over the past month I've found that the Belgium copy's carry the name T Parker. This receiver only says Parker. The number 63 is hand scratched where the serial numbers are now found...

It looks to my eye that may be a Birmingham stamp? Crossed halberds, crown above "V" below. Disclaimer - I know little about English or European guns in general. Definitely not Meriden, CT. though.

foreign made will only say Parker
