First time I have seen one of these Akron lace on pads, patented around 1906. Came with a sweet Fox CE 20ga in a Abercrombie hard case. Any ideas regarding it's age?? The gun it came with is 1923.

Craig I've only seen 2-3 similar examples in 46 years so I doubt they ever were popular. Since they were not original to the gun most people placed no value on them.

I bought an 1893 DH with a lace on pad, that appears to have been on for a looong time.
Downside - slight tan line on the wood.
Upside - nearly mint ssbp.

Come on Craig lets see pictures of that CE Fox. Is it a new addition?? You did well on the XE 12:bowdown:

I found an old Redhead lace on pad in a box of junk at a gun show; left it there and thought I'd come get it later. When I did it was gone :crying:; hard to believe somebody besides me wanted that old piece of junk!
