you would think they would have had the foresight to get some decent close ups

Maybe these??

I think I read somewhere the Parker on the workbench in the next to last picture with the BTFE was/is a BHE. It looks like it has a vent rib with twin ivories.

Read somewhere that Gray Cooper was known as a poor shot, because his movie contract said he could not wear glasses in public and contacts were not around yet.

Top picture with the roosters the gun looks like a Remington 32.

In the picture with that other guy the gun looks like the profile of a Winchester 21.

Interesting..... He's not wearing glasses in any of these pictures and those roosters are believers that he's at least a fair shot.

I think the other "guy" is E. Hemingway.

I once saw a photo op picture of John Kerry, when he was a presidential candidate, carrying a gun and water foul he purportedly shot. Remember, not all you see is as it seems, especially when Hollywood or politicians are involved.

No kiddin'?

Does the E. stand for "Papa"?

Well, at least it was a Purdey and not a lowly American-made gun. :biglaugh::shock:

The gun cabinet is what we want. Squareback Brownings, a 52 sporter, Model 12 target grade guns. Probably some high grade Parkers in another cabinet.

Personally I'm intrigued by the in home work bench and Mr. Cooper fiddling around with his guns. Especially the one where he's in slacks, a white shirt & a tie to boot. There's nothing like some Hoppes smeared on a nice white shirt. My kind of guy!!!

Gable obviously has a 21 but the checkering pattern on the Parker looks more like A or even AA than the B I had read it was.
