This little Fox A Grade 20ga I acquired last fall had some stock issues. I sent it to Mark; he was quoting 2 month turn around which is pretty remarkable in itself. Got it back yesterday; here are some quick cell phone pics before and after which aren't the best but you get the ideas...

Gouges in the pistol grip...

Gouge in the forend checkering...

Chip in stock toe (he replaced the pad with a repro butt plate)...

Poorly repaired cracks in the stock...

The wood had been refinished previously; Mark reddened it up a bit which I like. Mark was very accommodating, great communication, and price was very reasonable. Just thought I'd put in a little plug for him!

Mark Larson is unique among double gun craftsmen. He combines the eye of a trained and passionate artist with the skill of a fine stocker. I've used his services many times.

In fact, I plan to send him this E. H. Churchill stock in a few months. He is confident that the ham-handed wrist repair and stock extension will essentially "disappear."

Of that, I have no doubt.

Dennis Earl Smith is going to make my stock extension dissappear but I won't have it till the next spring southern.

Mark does great work. I sent him a German guild gun that I really like but the stock was a mess. Huge chunk was taken out of the cheek piece and there were some pretty bad gouges in the stock. you can't even tell where those repairs were made.

If Mark Larson posted on this thread, i don't see it and neither is there an ad posted by Dennis Earl Smith!! The reason for my post was to let members know there are other woodsmiths capable of doing the same thing. Mr. Larson and Mr. Smith are masters of their craft.

Can anyone post Mark Larson's contact info ? I'm having trouble accessing his website and have a question concerning the stock on my Parker VH 16 gauge. Thanks
