I was fortunate become the owner of a 16G 1908 Parker but anxious to learn more. I quickly found this site and am anxious to learn more. I found RST and now have correct shells and have bagged a few pheasants already. I will post these pictures and answer and questions you have. I hoping to learn about:
- value
- care
- any advice about this model
- history
- anything else a new owner should know.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice. I must say I am having trouble uploading pix. So may find pix in next string.

Roy

Looks to be a nice VH16ga. Still shows a fair bit of case hardening color too. Congratulations, and welcome.

Learning....... a good place to start is the links off to the left side of the main web page www.parkerguns,org All the links in the bottom half of the list (under "Collector Information) is where to start. The FAQ's have a lot of information that originated from discussions that took place here and are worth reading.

Then there is "The Parker Story"; it is the go to place we use for Parker knowledge. When you are ready for that level of detail of information, then get a set and dive in.

Welcome to the PGCA Roy!

That is one sweet little o-frame sixteen in great condition. Somebody before you loved that gun and cared for it well.

The condition of the grip cap itself tells us a lot about how well the gun was cared for.

You should order a research letter on that serial number. Research letters can be ordered online and the tab for that feature can also be accessed from the Home Page.

Great first Parker. Just right to hunt with. Enjoy. By the time you read everything on this site you will be much older.

A perfect example of a gun that has been used a good amount, but also very well cared for.

Roy,

If you resize them they upload in seconds. If you upload the original pictures, it takes forever for even one. It will upload multiple resized photos very quickly.

Very nice gun you have.

not only a Nice gun, it's somewhat rare in that it is marked 'Brothers' on the barrel instead of the more common 'Bros.'
