Had a great weekend guest Chris Dawe with me at the Calgary Gun Show. We had his shingle out at my tables showing his fine workmanship.

Had to lay down on my couch to view them, but it looks like it was a nice show - love the table banner!

That is my Fox custom 100% complete. Laying down is a Parker grade 2 16 ga hammer gun with upgraded wood, Rigby 12 ga, LC Smith Specialty 12 ga and model 21 12 gauge.

Darn it, I tried to make it down to Calgary for the show, but my F150 broke down Thursday night. Easter weekend is no time to break down in small town Alberta. Just got it into a repair shop this morning. The only time I've seen a Parker grade higher than a DH was an AH at the Calgary show about 10 years ago. I would have liked to meet you, Chris, and Mr. Peck.

Mr. Dawe needs to make a trip to one of our gatherings in the U.S. I guess the big problem is bringing some of his gun into the country along with him for a first hand inspection. His work is first rate!

Stay tuned Chuck for when I return in 2018 to the old country for good .....the guns I have all done by him and me thinks I can pry him off the rock and I will act as his guide.

He'll miss the old place...

Relocating has its pluses and its minuses.

That's what he told me too.

If the choice was mine, I'd stay in Seal Cove too. There's no place like home!

Thanks for all the kind words guys ...I had a great time with Brian ,Cindy and Abby .

I had attended this show just over twenty years ago when I briefly lived in Calgary...it was surreal being back there once again ,I was treated like family and had an absolute ball -ate like a horse and drank like a fish ! I just got home yesterday after spending the second half of my trip with visit to the boys at lemieux ...great people all around ,salt of the earth and talent beyond words

I have no intentions of leaving home -although it would make life easier ,but anytime I can get away to visit friends like I have this past ten days is a real blessing .
