My father in law has lost his forearm on Parker reproduction by Winchester, 20 gauge. Any suggestions on where we could find a replacement.
Thanks
Alan

Alan,
Sorry to hear of the lost part! Replacement will be difficult. OEM parts are not available and these guns are generally too new to have reached condition that would warrant parting out. Ebay and other similar sites may eventually work. Of course posting WTB on this site is available for PGCA Members only.

Brian Dudley has recently come across a bunch of Repro parts. Don't know if he has any forearms. Splinter or BT?

Alan - I am looking for a BTFE for my 20 Ga. Repro. If I find one, perhaps we could make a deal on my Splinter. Billy

I recently inquired with Brian if he had any PR forearm iron wirh his recent purchase of PR parts. No such luck. No iron.

Somebody may correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, an original Parker ejector forend iron will work with a Repro - same dimensions and all in the 0-frame size.

I would expect it to take some fitting as many do anyway

Right Rick. A Repro forend iron from any other 0-frame Repro would work with no fitting at all, except for maybe some very fine filing.

Thanks for all of the help, i will keep my eye out for a Parker also. My father in law is 89. On his last hunt he loses his forearm. He is trying to pass on all of his guns to his grandsons while he is still around. And losing the forearm is really weighing heavy on his mind. I would appreciate any advise you guys could offer.
thanks

Did he lose it away from his home, or did he simply misplace it?

He lost it at his last hunt in the field, we drove back out to the hunt site and could not find it.
He was probably taking his gun apart putting it in the case and set it on the side of the truck and drove off. Not a good way to end your last hunt.

It's only a gun.
I hope he can focus on all the good times he had in the field - not so much about the gun as those times you both shared.

I understand but when you get to a certain age you have a tendency to dwell on certain things and have a hard time letting go

A friend lost a forearm on a LC Smith a few years ago while hunting, he got a metal detector and found it, it took awhile but he found it. It might be worth a try.

I can't remember who did the skit "Testicles, Spectacles, Wallet & Watch" but I thought it was pretty corny. Not so much anymore.

Wondered about that..thanks for sharing the tip.
Good luck either finding the missing forearm or locating a suitable replacement Alan.

Alan,
Steve Barnett has a 20 GA Repro Forend Wood and Tip for $80.
Then you would only need the Iron, Ejector Mechanism and Latch from an original Parker.

I also have several pieces of new 20g wood. Just no metal.

Somewhere around here, I have a complete 0 frame ejector fore end iron. No wood, or latch. Maybe with that and a piece of Brian's wood you could get it back together. I'll hunt it up and PM you.

Are you forgetting you sent that to me?
(I guess they're right - the memory is the second thing to go.)

Aha! Now I know why I can't find it. I didn't send it to you, I handed it to in the parking lot at Addieville, along with your 28" Titanic barrels that I could not use.
So, sell it to Alan. Have you paid me for it yet?
All those PGCA members who have not already owned this fore end iron, please raise your hand.
