First, thanks for the quick replies to my serial #s request on Friday. Both of these Parkers were at Stanton's Auction in the Old Opera House in Vermontville MI today. 92355 Sold for $850 but had been restocked and the splinter foreend had an Oak leaf motif carved all around the edge. I could not move the safety off on this gun. No info on any extra barrels and now had a pistol grip. 64881 sold for $320,both guns + 10% Buyers fee. I did not bring either of them home with me. Quite a few other older doubles there as well.

Vermontville is a small berg and I think the Stanton's Auction owns about half of it. They have at least 4 auctions a year of consignment firearms, have seen a Parker or two there before but no high quality ones. Highest priced firearm yesterday was a Winchester rifle that sold for 10 Grand + the 10% buyers fee. The old Opera house is a hoot though, they sell off the stage and have temp gun racks set up on both sides of the seating area.

i expect its like here in the finger lakes and western NY - to a long time local - every major crossroads has a name - somebody's corners or somethingville

to anyone not from there, or a new resident its all the major town name - where I grew up - the map shows one location - to us it was seven separate spots - 'villes -corners and heights
