In my short time venturing into the world of Parkers ,particularly repros, it seems like most of the guns for sale, especially 20's are all pg's. Is that just the market right now or were the vast majority of them pg's.

Kurt, A general rule of thumb is that about 10% of Parker Bros. guns were straight grip.

That being said, and it is true of original Parkers, but a greater percentage of Repros were made with the straight grip than 10%.

I neglected to mention the Parker Repros Kurt. I was speaking of original Parker shotguns. Hope this helps.

I'm mostly looking at repro's. As far as preferred lop goes, do the different types of stocks affect lop?

The straight grips on the Repros tend to have a lot shallower DAC and DAH than the pistol grip guns, to the point of almost being "unshootable" to some folks. I can't say if there is an inherent difference in LOP between the two.

I like pretty much a 1 1/2, 2 1/2 drop but most are less than that

Kurt,I have owned two 28 gauge Repros. One straight grip and one pistol grip while the pistol grip had about a 1/4" more drop than the straight grip both were too high for my liking.

My straight grip 28 ga. is about perfect but I'm a trap shooter.

Dave, I am up in the 230s. Much of that is in my face. If I were in the 170s, 1 3/8 X 2 would be OK. I am going to cut back on pizza so the Repros fit me better.
