Check out the GH-12 just listed on Cabelas...1825449 4000.00 It looks to have the normal circle but a second smaller circle inside that one? I collect G-s and never saw one like this? thanks all Kenny Graft SXS ohio

Kenny,

I don't think any of my GH's are like that. I'll have to recheck when I go home. I am suspicious of the barrel constriction. I have never found a Parker to have .010. The ones I have seen are .012 or .013. I can not recall if I have seen an unmolested Parker with .005. How about the rest of the crowd that have seen more Parkers than I.

I don't recall seeing a GH engraved exactly like that one... unusual for sure. Another thing I noticed was the "Parker Bros." engraved boldly inside the oval vignettes on the sides.

I don't think that inner circle is unusual. I think if you look real close you will see it. I've looked at a few G's in TPS and it looks like that inner ring is there. Probably like the circular checked plug found on some skeleton butt plates. Some stand out, some don't due to wear. Here is my 1904 GH. It's got the inner ring.

Had to look close, and the borders not as wide, but my EH 10GA has it as well.

OK Russ, here are a few more. Nothing special about this 2 frame 12ga GH other than it's still has lots of case colors and I don't think the gun's ever been apart. The last picture shows the Kick-Ezz pad I installed. Used Acra Glass dyed black for the widows peak and used a center screw in the pad to draw the pad to the wood. In 10 minutes it's back to original with the DHBP back on.

Well, my motto is "open mouth - insert foot". I guess it's been a really long time since I've looked at any of my G's. An early GH I have has only one engraved circle on the floor plate while three others have two engraved circles but they are considerably closer together than the one in the link - probably about like Chuck's. I had on loan a GHE from 1934 which has the two engraved circles, also close together, and no Parker Bros. engraved anywhere on the gun which may have been the one that caused me to remark that I didn't remember seeing one with "Parker Bros." engraved within the oval vignette.

In the future I'll try to put my mind in gear first.

Here are a few pics of my favorite. Case color is faint but covers a lot of surface. The quality of the engraving with a few extra embellishments is what makes this G special to me. This one, by the way, is a 16 ga. 0-frame in very nice condition with great dimensions.

Bob, is that the one Scott had at Hausman's that we couldn't get the case open??

I'm surprised you still own that gem.... I thought someone would have ponied up on that one long ago!!

I opened the gun cabinet and looked at the four GH's resting there. Low and behold they all had the "circle", but one and it is so worn on the floor plate..... well, you catch my drift.

My first GHE 20 ga. that I liked so well and studied the engraving does not have a full circle showing ....thats why I missed it. I have posted pics of my damascus GH-16 on the restoration thread...check it out, thanks Kenny

I just looked at my "new" GHE 20 that Dean Romig was good enough to help me purchase. It also has the inner ring. I believe it is a 1910 gun.

Thanks Dean!
