You may have better prospects if you ask Donley Auction to pass a note on to the buyer to contact you. I would think they would do that if asked.

I did that when I bought the 16ga B lifter and that got me the full ownership history and some fun family stories to go with the gun.

so- for those of us that were watching other venues yesterday

what was lot 151?

it was just a grade 1 or grade 2 lifter with nothing at all special about the gun... but I do have a special interest in speaking with the new owner.

As Robin says - try the auction house

i bought a Parker at an auction a while ago - there were a few others that day - when i picked mine up they had a copy of the Parker Pages in the case that should have gone with one of the others (there was an article about the gun) i asked them to contact the other buyer - or said I would send the magazine back to them to forward) never heard from them

your results may vary :corn:

A number of years ago, I bought a Madison Mitchell decoy which had never been in the water. It had a Schmidt and Guyette sticker on it from an auction years before. I contacted them and they were able to tell me the date of the auction and the winning bid price. Cool!

Sounds like somebody wishes they'd have bid a little higher.

There's more to it than just that, although you're right.
