Does anyone know of any guns ordered for a Northern CA Duck Club called The Teal Club?

A friend is a member and there were some rumors...

I've heard of the Teal Club but know nothing about it really.

To figure it out you'd probably need the names of the members that might have ordered the guns.

Google it, lots of info on club.

I googled the club and found out that the whole 509 acres, equipment, and buildings recently sold for less than a subdivision house. I hope I read something wrong.

Bill, as a CA native I agree that 700K looks a bit low for a 500 acre duck club just off Interstate 80, half way between San Francisco and Sacramento.

There is another club a few miles away for sale, 2,500 acres for $7,000,000.

I know that we have several CA members who are very knowledgeable in this area who also hunt waterfowl and perhaps they could bring some light on the matter-which, if there was some legal action, might get to a member list.

California just emerged from a five year drought, so there might have been a water issue or given this is CA, perhaps there was a deadline on a clean-up for lead shot. Just guessing.

Oh, and I notice what looks like a subdivision on the edge of the property in the real estate offering photos. A common occurrence in this state (and, I am sure others) is that sub-divisions get build next to hunting/shooting clubs and small airports and then the new residents, after a few years, petition to close those activities down.

Michigan has a law which says if a house/subdivision is built next to an existing gun range (doubt that includes duck clubs) the new residents cannot complain about the noise

Same here in Mass.

Shooting clubs/ranges are 'grandfathered' and the courts will not 'hear' noise complaints, unless the club changes its MO.

Same here in CT. All existing gun clubs have been grandfathered in. My home club has been around since 1936.
