Greetings! Some of you might remember my first post last year as I scratched my Parker itch by purchasing a Parker Trogan with "gold" triggers. It had abated my "fever" for the past 6 months or so and been a companion at the Sporting Clays range more than a few times.

Well, I found a Parker DH 12 ga. serial # 100407 this week that I have started the adoption process... She's a beauty that, from the wear marks, was carried quite abit over the past 110 years. Her engraving is still beautiful, but she has lost almost all of her case coloring. Both barrells are bright and shiny and still maintain alot of bluing for her age. The stock is darkened by age and features the unique arrow-points behind the reciever and the checkering is still visible, but well worn. She still has her skeleton butt plate!

I hope to get some pics of this Parker to share with you before too long. I've been in ill health for most of this year and this Parker has been a bright spot for me! Thanks for allowing me to ramble and best wishes to all!

Congratulations! Now get well and get out there and do a lot of shooting! Seriously, I hope your recovery is complete and you're back to normal.

Morning Steve. Thanks for the information about the 32 inch barrel...it got me to wondering as I just guessed at its length when I looked it over. A tape measure revealed that it was 30.5 inches! Any guesses as to what happened?!

Regarding the "shorter" barrels then listed in the book my guess is someone cut a couple of inches off for reasons unknown. Is there a small gap between the rib matting and the end of the barrels? Regardless you have a nice gun and an excellent companion in the field or on the clays course.

I agree with Dave S. in congratulations on this adoption....it won't be the last:)
