Picked up a well used Parker GHE 16ga 30" bbls F/F 6lbs 14oz #1 frame, circa 1909, for an upcoming adventure to South Dakota at the Rock this weekend. A nice hunting gun that seems to fit. Great price in my opinion from John Allgood.
Anyone else bring home a new gun?

So how was the shoot? Not hearing much about the Vintagers shoot, wonder how that went too. Hope all had fun at the Rock last weekend hopefully next year I'll be there....

Craig,
That was a great gun for the money and I'm sure the pheasants will pay dearly on your upcoming trip.
Eric,
Three picture perfect days weather wise which as you know seldom happens in the endless mountains when a shoot is scheduled. Mike had three courses set up for the various gages and the shooting was fantastic as usual. Even without some of the usual suspects in attendance I did hear there were even more shooters than last year. All in all we had a great time at the Rock.

Great gun, Craig. Those are going to be some unlucky pheasants

I'm surprised one of you long barrel guys did not buy the 34" V that was for sale. I did not look at it closely as it is not my cup of tea but it sure had loooong barrels.

John, I believe it was a private individual. I am pretty sure it was a V as I said, I did not look close except to note the long barrels. Surely some of the collectors saw it and know the guy.

Damn, I may have to start going to some of these events but have a feeling my bank account would be lighter leaving.

The 34" gun was a V that had a vent rib on it at one time and the rib that was on it was kinda messed up. And it made me wonder if the barrels were original or not. But... It was a 34" gun.

I believe the 34" gun in question was a D grade. It did have some issues but it was a 34" gun. I can put someone in touch with the owner if they are interested.

Daryl,
PM me if you don't mind regarding the 34" gun. Thank you very much.
