Good morning:

I have a couple of boxes of 2 1/2" 16 gauge shells. The first, is from RST from the old NH address. These are marked Thomas Bland & Sons. 2 3/4 with 1 oz of #7 1/2 shot. Also marked Lite 65mm.

The second box are Gamebore Traditional Game from England. These are a 28 gram load of #6 shot.

Any potential problems shooting these in my VH? It is in sound condition.

I know that Gamebore can be a little stout. Never hurts to ask.

Thanks in advance.

If your gun is in good condition and with proper wall thickness you should be fine. I have used the RST shells marked Thomas Bland in my 16's with no problems.

While not the RST ,I just became a dealer for Gamebore I contacted the company for the pressure range of the 2 1/2 loads in all gauges ,while not specific
the 2 1/2 16 gauge shells will run from 8267-8702 psi,
in fact, none of the 2 1/2 loads in any gauge get over 9000 psi...so when you look over the proof charts that Mr. Day has so graciously posted whenever the pressure suitability question arises ,these should be fine in any Parker in good shooting condition
