Some people like C grade engraving. This on a 12/ 28 7 lb straight stock game gun.

Very nice engraving. Looks to be another fine example of Robert Runge's art.

Now if the CHE I was looking at had that engraving, I might not have cared about the sleeved barrels and incorrect forend!

Jeff's pictures show the quality difference between the engraving of guns of the same grade. Different time periods.

Thanks, David

Bruce, that might be my favorite engraving I have ever seen on a Parker.

Thanks but just when you think you've seen the best ever another comes along. There are some really nice ones out there. It's one of my favorites but I have and seen some others that are fine, fine. That's one of the great things about high grade Parkers , the variety and quality of engraving.

0ff to the Whittenton Center for a day of shooting, then to Philmont for a BSA shooting instructors conference , then to Montana for sharptails , and over to Minnesota for ruffed grouse. Have guns , have dogs , will travel.

Very nicely done by artisans who worked for Parker Bros. in Meriden.

Thanks Mr. Dudley for finishing my 2 Gournet A1 Specials so nicely. And I assume you were able to put to good use the 3 Parker actions and 2 barrel sets I sold you for $200. And I assume you saw the compliment I paid on your work earlier today.
