Morning guys ,i'm late to work this morning ,nursing a cup....and got to wondering ,what are the lightest unstruck bbl weights recorded for the Parker 10 gauge guns ? I'm thinking I seen a thread here a while ago but cant seem to locate it ...any thoughts ?

My little #2 frame DH 27" Damascus ten weighs 7 1/2 pounds. I don't know the barrel weight offhand.

I have a 30" Damascus set for a 2-frame DH that are stamped 5lb., 11oz. and another 30" Damascus set for a Grade-3 lifter that are stamped 4lb., 10oz.
The DH set are quite stout with a very straight taper while the Lifter set are much more swamped but wow, a 1 lb. difference!

I'd like to see in person a couple of the NH or EH guns that left the factory with 24" or 26" barrels . I'd be intrested to see how they felt to me .

They will feel the same as my DH 27" gun, very nice.

Thanks guys ,I just cleaned up a two frame 10 with a stamped 3/15 bbl original damascus 28 inch bbls,i'm fitting up a set of Vulcan bbls of the same length stamped at 4/1 so it got me to thinking ....all aside ,this will the first time I ever carried a 10 gauge on the barrens she still has the factory imp cyl/imp cyl chokes ...as bad as I can be some days it's a going to be a helluva lot of 7 1/2 shot for a Ptarmigan to avoid !

Chris

Hammer gun or "hammerless"

What does the complete gun weigh?

Be careful you don't spill that coffee into the bluing tank! On the other hand, could give a whole new pleasing patina!

I only rust blue ,but still it could do something...it would never be as alarming as the day I reached in to grab a bbl set with no insulated glove ,I like the heavy rubber insulated gloves just reach in and grab the bbls ,nice tactile feel you know you have them in your hand ...this one day I was running a large batch ,and switching on and off I forgot to put the glove back on ...my hand was on the bbls before it hit me ... on a calm day the streel of Newfoundland curse words can still be heard echoing off the beach up here :cuss::cuss:
