I have a fairly good selection of gunsmith screwdrivers. Nothing wide and thin enough for Parker Hammer screws. Use a home ground tool now. It's ok but, anybody have a tip on proper hollow ground tool that fits the hammer screw ?

i have a couple different sets of the Brownells tip sets and the accompanying grinding wheel.

i doubt you will find a set specific to Parker and would not be surprised if Parker slots have some variation through the many years and designs

i'd much rather buy and fit new tips than new screws

It is a narrow slot to be sure. That's why most of them are buggered. I had to grind my Brownells.

one of the set i have from Brownwells is their narrow slot set

often still need some work to fit - but less than the grinding the normal ones

What Rick said. I also found the Browning A5 set to have what I needed for the hammer screw slot. Cheaper.

Brownell's 300-2 will fit most hammer screws. Some may take a 300-1. Cheers, Tom

Good Tip Tom

Ordering up some now, Looking at the Brownell's Magna Tip selection they sell a pair of small grinding wheels, large and small, right size to hollow grind the bit's too. Just the ticket for dressing one up to exact size.
