Proud Parents

For the past 5-6 years we've had a pair of Sandhill Cranes successfully nesting in our backyard, which is a designated wetland. Early this morning Momma and Papa Sandhill paraded right down the middle of the street proudly showing off their results of this year's nesting and their precious little baby. We were agaze in amazement.

Just like our children, they grow up fast . . . in just 31 days our baby Sandhill, at about 3/4 the size of its Momma and Papa, appears to have grown into being a teenager.
