Lets have a small bore shoot Thursday am at Drakes. Hammer or hammerless 20 or 28ga everyone welcome so spread the word to the Smith shooters if you know one. We can shoot for say lunch or dinner as a prize, a cold beverage, a fine cigar or just for bragging rights.

Works for me. I have a little 28 gauge that is just waiting to get out and fire.....:) Not that I'll be able to do her any justice (she'll probably will want to go home with somebody that can shoot :rotf:)

Well in that case Eric I'll be happy to take her home.:)
Decisions. decisions. What to shoot in the smallbore event? Since David is bringing his 30" 28, VHE I guess I should bring my 30" 28 VHE to keep his company. Only difference is mine is not for sale but it would be neat to see 2 30", 28ga. OO frame VHE's side by side in the rack.

In addition to the "for Sale" VHE 28a(shameless plug:)) I will be shooting my D grade 20ga 30" top lever HG. If I may suggest a award for high HG and hammerless? Dan is putting on a steak dinner Thus evening so high HG will be my guest. BYOB but there will be a cooler full of cold Heineken in the back of my truck

Generous offer, David. I bought a little Manton 20 ga hammer gun with 30" laminate barrels last fall and hope to have it back from my 'smith before the shoot.

If not, I will have a very nice C grade Parker 28 ga H G you can borrow. It started life as a 16 ga which someone had London sleeved to a 20 ga and I had a 28 ga barrel made for it.

We can lay out the details of the small bore event Thursday at 9am and see how many shooters there are. I have a date with a Fox at 8:30:). we can do a hammer gun event as well no problem. I'll bring the Boss 20, W.R. Pape 28 and Parker 16ga hammer guns.
I know some have been practicing and that's ok you know who you are and probably need it. Winter just left here yesterday:eek:

Eric shamelessly ripped this from it's twin sibling in a move motivated by self indulgence and greed. You wouldn't go to an orphanage and adopt only one child from a set of twins would you?? this will undoubtly result in missed shots stopped swings and head lifting. I have offered a solution for this but alas it's fallen on deaf ears and the twins will remain separated for life:crying:

I also offered a solution, but "Rich" would not open his checkbook. My suggestion was he would buy it's twin and just like our two Parker 16 gauge Skeet guns whoever passes first gets the other gun. That way they stay together... So pony up Rich..:corn:

Guys, I just hate to see two long time friends, as Eric and Rich are, at odds over a pair of fine guns. It just breaks my heart !:crying::crying::crying::crying: In an attempt to help repair the rift ,I would like to offer to purchase both guns, at a slight volume discount of course. I would also stipulate that at my demise they would go the the high bidder. :corn:

Unfortunately the flaw in Eric's plan wouldn't keep the pair together it would be more like a divorce. Besides I have a date with a stone cold Fox and will require the means to adopt her and not Eric's orphaned twin.

Well just be that way.....:rotf: Didn't think I was asking that much you picking up it's twin.... If you didn't buy a couple of those model 70's (ok maybe a few more then that) you could have bought the twin but "no" you have to buy the Model 70..

Wow. have you looked at the long range weather forecast? Break out the shorts, tank tops and flip flops. After shooting last Sat and Sun in blizzard conditions and freezing my butt off, I cant wait. looking forward to seeing everybody next week. Yes Rich, I have been practicing, and may one day earn my Mediocre merit badge.
