With David T. in semi-retirement, who is best qualified to perform work on Purdey shotguns on the East Coast? Thanks in advance for any info or recommendations.

I would ask David.
In fact, I'll call him right now and post his response here.
What sort of work - mechanical, wood, cleaning?

For general work, I would also consider Griffin & Howe. Also Abe Chaber.
It would also be worth a call to Kirk Merrington to see who he'd recommend in New England.

I have personally used Les Paul before. About as good as it gets from one gunsmith to another. I worked on many Purdey's for the McIlhenny's while in Louisiana. But general cleanning only.
