Just got back from the CGCA show in Denver. Many beautiful doubles this year and it still seems to be a buyers market. It was also a Parker rich show. With a wide selection, from V's ,D's to 20cga. C, a 28ga. and a wonderful small gauge A1 Special. I even brought home a lovely little 0 frame gun. More guns than $$$. Overall a great time with great friends.

I'm pretty sure it was a C28 guage that was priced at 49K! Bob's gun shop.

Danny you are right, my mistake. It was a 28ga.

Bob Skeuse has these guns on consignment and has shown them for several years.

Bruce, I missed you this year. I piicked up a little 0 frame that you can appreciate. However it is not in the serialization book. Paul

Youse guys out west get to see all the good guns at your local shows.

We here in the northwoods feel blessed when we find a 12-ga. 2-frame VH...and if there's a Trojan on the same table, we have then found the motherlode!

Right Bruce, we've been admiring the Parker's at Bob's display for a few years. Nice guns they are but he's in no hurry to sell them.

Paul, post some pictures of your new B 20. I don't believe I am familiar with it and there are many I have not seen or heard of. Bob Skeuse has some great Parkers on consignment for sale at wishful prices and I have admired some of them. The owner of those guns would not be under financial pressure to sell but is merely culling his collection for duplicates or other reasons. I understand he has decided to collect only in 410's and 28's, so some highly desireable guns may become available. At what price is the issue.

Greg, bring your checkbook to the U P Shoot. The Parker dealers will most likely have some decent V's and Trojans there, which they will bring out to the plains for us if they don't sell in Michigan.

Paul, a lovely gun, don't think I've seen it before but I remember guns on what is on the floor plate engraving if it is unusual. Great wood, great engraving, skeleton butt, what could be better?

The floor plate has two dogs also in about the same position.

Shazaam!! What a gun! You're a lucky man Paul, to live in the west where all the good ones seem to turn up *wink*

Stunning wood too.

but I saw and examined that little 20 BHE. That is a beautiful little gun ! It was out of my current price range. The owner said he thought you would be back. I was thinking that you may have been the guy he was talking about. I agree there were several decent guns to look at. I saw a nice DHE 16 30 #1frame Damascus that was very reasonable at first glance. I did not study the gun to see if it had serious problems with the bores or anything. (I just recently spent my play money on a Parker- Hawes bamboo fly rod of 8 1/2 ft)While the show was busy at first, I did notice several dealers were really hoping for sales.Especially all that "old wild west" stuff of which there was plenty. The Collectors show is about the only good show here in Colorado and it is the only one I attend without my secret hat and Raybans on:cool: I am glad you had fun ! Next year I agree we should have the PGCA table. Best, Paul
