I picked up #528 this past weekend, 32" in decent shape. Wood is not so good but it was cheap enough that I had to have it. 8 lbs 2 oz of pure Fox!
Check it out.

Nice one!
It even has the VH style of 'graver-walk' border engraving on the frame.
Julia's had a high grade one last year. It was fantastic.

It is a real neat gun Dean. The Fox site has a nice listing of the various Philadelphia Arms grades, they made some real nice guns before the transition to AH Fox. I believe this is an A grade. I made the comment about the weight since it feels real heavy in hand.

According to my notes Philadelphia Arms Co. A-Grade serial number 528 appeared on the PGCA web site on 5 May 2014.

Yeah that was the first time I looked at it. I had been kicking the tires on it as the math shows for a year and a half. It worked out.....the economy in Alberta is slowing due to oil and liberal politics taking hold. The USD/CAD is definitely in favour of the US right now as well. Some gun show table holders have a new inspiration to sell. It's hard to believe you can buy a gun like this for $270 American dollars.
So not to reinvent the wheel. I should have brought the old thread up.

I have been looking for a nice example of one of these for a while. I passed on a very nice original one about 3 years back and kick myself for it. And every one I have found since has been pretty rough.
I find them to be VERY interesting. Mostly in the fact that a lot of parts look like they came right out of the Parker Parts bin. There is one that has been kicking around the internet for a while that actually has Parker DE wood on it! The Philly iron and latch fit that well.
