We do have a block of rooms reserved for our members. We will once again be staying at the Hampton Inn on South Horner Blvd. in Sanford NC. The phone number for the Hampton is 919-775-2000. The rate will be the same as last year at $94.00/ night. When making your reservation just mention you want the PGCA rate. Larry

We are planning an informal social/meet and greet after the Smith Parker Shootoff on Saturday. Many of us attend that know each other online, but not in person. We will have name tags and possibly some light refreshments. I hope all PGCA members who attend will take a moment to come over and participate. It will be great to put some names with faces.

We are now planning a halftime show between the qualifying rounds and the shootoff. . . . An 8 bore event. Details being ironed out as we speak, but we need some Parker 8 gauge owners to come.

My wife always vomes along with me for the trip. But not to the shoot. She usually always finds stuff to do around Sanford during the days.

There are no substantive changes in the rules, other than there being one qualifying round of 50 birds, instead of two qualifying rounds of 30 each. The second field will be available for 25 bird practice.

I just checked w/ Hampton Inn & they seem to have lost my reservation for the Spring Southern. If anyone here have a room booked that they don't need please let me know.

George you might consider the Quality Inn in Faqury-Varina (?spelling). The room rate was $59/night. It's very close to Drakes Landing so you could shoot a round in the am then head to deep River which is about 30min away.

Alrighty, the spousal unit and I just received word that pretty daughter is going to get an award from the College of Science and Mathematics at Auburn university for her 4.0. This is going to happen the same weekend as the spring Southern. As you all can agree, family comes first so I won't be able to attend. This has two repercussions, first being that I won't be bringing the last and first dolls head hammer guns. Maybe next year, second will be the fact that a room is opening up in the Hampton Inn. George L. needed a room, the thing is I'm a Diamond Member of Hilton Honors and we used points to secure the room. George if you still need the room, lets see if we can make this transpire. Respond to this post and let me know where I can call you.
P.S. I'm still looking for suitable beau's for my pretty daughter.

We are changing things around this year and there are actually less slots on Saturday, but more on Friday. Hopefully, this will work better.
So that everyone who wishes to gets to shoot, I suggest that if you are here on Friday, that you go ahead and shoot your qualifying round, so that people who arrive on Saturday get to shoot as well.
