Is $10.00 a pound a fair price for bismuth?

It cost me $326 get one or two(can't remember) 7# jugs of bismuth shot sent here to Alaska some years back. I was dumbstruck to say the least. I think the last batch I bought, 80 10-rd boxes of loaded ammo I have been cutting open for the shot, came out to $18/#.
