Just picked up a great VHE 16 SG 0 Frame. Coulple little issues but un touched original. Bores great What you think ? I imagine not common configuration, unfortunately, chuck has no info for letter but love it. Shoots excellent. I collect only smaller bores this is my largest gauge but still is my new favorite. For now. Lol.

I have 16 VH, 28" barrels, straight stock on an 0-frame. Nice gun that handles like a dream. I have been told that only 10% of Parkers were made with a straight stock and that seams about right. The 0-frame mystique is a little overrated. Mine weights 6-lbs, 3-ozs, about the same as my 1-frame 16 DH. How about posting some photos?

Congratulations. Predict this will remain a favorite for a long time. I have a DHE 16 0 frame SG. This is one of three 24" bbl 16 ga. guns listed in TPS and the Serialization book, if I remember correctly. All three guns are the same configuration. Mine is one of a consecutive pair and I would love to know if these 2 guns were ordered as a pair.
Love to see some pictures of your VHE SG 16. How is the gun choked?
Best Regards,
Erick

Doc, do you have any pictures you can share? Sounds like something many might enjoy seeing. Thanks.

My 16 VHE O is not a straight grip but it makes me look like a much better shot than I know I am. Congrats and enjoy, they may not be as rare as some say but they are a joy to carry and shoot, in my book.

Congrats. That's probably as close as you can get to a "Do Everything" gun

Yes, 10% straight grip is a likely number, but that is spread out over all grades. As grade increased, straight grip numbers increased to a high in A's of 30%. In V's the number is closer to 5%, so you have a rare gun indeed.

For small frame (0) 16's, a good WAG is 40% were 0 frame, and I believe the reason so few seem to be available is because owners hold on to them, or when they do become available, they do not last long.

I'd love to find a nice 26" straight grip 0 frame 16, but its not so easy. Congratulations.
