Has anyone fitted or heard of the fitting of original Parker barrels to a repro?
I have a set of orphan 1-1/2 frame ventilated rib trap barrels from a late Remington DHE that I would like to mate to 12 DHE repro.
Is this possible?

Do your barrels have a curved extension rib or a flat extension rib?

I'm a dope - what is the difference? All mine look the same.

George some doll's head extensions are slightly concave while some are flat

Dave Suponski explains the different types of ribs and corresponding frame shapes in his article in Parker Pages a few years ago.

Repro barrels can be fitted to an original gun, so why not visa versa? I would say yes.

You would likely encounter the normal need for fitting as you would with any barrel set.

The fact that your orphaned barrels are late Remington production makes it even more probable that they can be fitted to your Repro, which is an exact copy of late Remington Parkers.

That was my thinking.

Well, George, does your extension rib have a concave top surface, or is it flat? If it is concave, it is made for a solid rib gun. If it is flat, it is made for a vent rib gun. What is the serial number of the barrels? That could be another clue.

Come on, George, have you lost interest?. I am still interested.

Sorry Bill
I can't get to gun or orphan barrels due to Snowmagedon.
I will compare them tomorrow.

The Dolls head looks flat to me so I think there would be at least aesthetic issues putting them on a Repro.

I cant answer on wether it will fit bet I see a smalle hole that is missing the screw that holds in that small plate on the end

I can't answer if it will fit but I see a small hole that is missing a screw to hold in that plate in place.

Thanks Richard.
I didn't see it until Dean Romig pointed it out to me.

George, the gun those barrels came from is an original vent rib gun. You are right, there would be issues of appearance if installed on a repro with a concave rib. I would buy your barrels if you can't use them.
