When you go to Pauls shoot rain gear is just as essential as shells:)

The shotgun venue is also open Friday and Sunday 10AM till when ever the guys get tired of shooting. And I don't let anyone from the club who's shooting the event on Saturday to shoot it on Friday. Steve and I reset the course on Wednesday and Thursday [ we don't shoot it, just set the targets ]. The SC's course will have all new targets for EVERYONE.

Steve and I are going to try and have three machines per station on the SC's course. Believe that will make it a Super SC's. It may be a little hard seeing how many of the stations are in the woods with small fields, but we'll see how it goes.

sounds like fun, rain, snow or maybe shine:)

Paul that sounds like fun, doesn't need to be at each station just a few stations would be great

We shot last night, and talking to Ken [ a big NSCA shooter ] I ask about " make a break ". It's shot on the 5-stand and sounds like a blast. It gives you a chance to take a chance to improve your score a beat your opponent . And the long bird game we had last year - we may shoot it on the trap field from the 27 yard line using the trap house. Anyway, just trying to mix it up and try a couple of new games to see what people may like.

Just received the Parker Pages and see the wrong date for my shoot was published. Don't know if was my fault or what, but it is May 14th.

Wow that sounds like a heck of a shoot.
what is it like 20 hours from CT?

Rich Anderson
03-04-2016, 05:02 PM
Not much farther than what we would drive to go to the Southern or Hausmanns. It's a nice shoot so grab some friends and head west:)

It's 9.5 hours without traffic. But since I have to drive through Canada, what would I do with my guns?

Put all those New England Parker boys in a van and make a road trip out of it!

Rich Anderson

13hrs to the Southern and 12 or so to Hausmanns. 9.5 just a short Sunday drive on a Friday.

Get Daryl, Dave S, Edgar ect to come on a road trip. Live a little and experience other venues.

If you don't want to go through Canada take your guns, you would have to come south anyway. If you want to go through Canada leave your guns at home I have a couple of extra's:whistle:

If you want, I reload 3/4 or 7/8oz low pressure 12ga shells and will do it for $4.50 a box. Let me know how many you want. I could even load some smoke to shoot through Richs' guns.

Rich Anderson
03-06-2016, 08:36 AM
Thanks for the offer Paul but my guns are all smoke free:) I wouldn't want them to get barrel cancer:rotf:

For our PGCA friends,

Paul Harm's Lapeer SxS shoot is the best deal of all! Paul sets up a great "in the woods" course which most targets actually representing game birds. At the course end there are a some longer range open field targets. Any very good shot could shoot a 50 on the course but I don't think that anyone ever has!

Add to that Paul's Pigeon Ring, skeet, trap, and in case it rains as it usually does, a covered 5-stand range that I defy one to score a 25 on!

There is also a large clubhouse in which Paul provides free tables for show and sell.

The day ends with a catered steak dinner and a beer bar for those who after shooting with Rich need a drink!

PS: Paul's prices are insanely low!

Hope to see you boys here!

Mark

Forgot to list the " Long Bird ". It's a 65yd arcing bird. On the Duck Towers we won't use the boat, but a stool or chair to sit on. We should have 5 machines for it.

John Dallas

Paul - Hope to make it, but won't be able to stay for dinner. Assume there is a discount?

Paul Harm
04-15-2016, 08:05 AM
Yes - $20. We just got two machines moved to the duck towers - now have five.

Paul Harm

Just got the Pigeon Ring up and running. Still have to set the Long Bird and SC's. Long Bird will be a bit different this year - but still long. Bring some choke and plenty of shells.

Mark Ouellette
04-18-2016, 07:33 PM
Paul's shoot at Lapeer Michigan is as good as the big shoots, only less people and a lot less cost!

You can shoot the pigeon ring and long birds as much as you like for a small fee, I mean very small fee per round!

Paul Harm
04-30-2016, 01:14 PM
Mark is right - $5 for either and $2 goes in a pot for the winner. We have 12 machines on the 5-stand for that or a flurry. I told Steve to set the SC's course easy - it's all in the woods so a gun with a more open choke should be used. Hope to see a real high score.

Paul Harm

Snow.
From the Intellicast weather forecast
"Cloudy and becoming windy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 44F. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph."

Don't put away the Stormy Kromer just yet

Paul Harm

I'd like to thank everyone who attended - it wouldn't be possible with out you guys. There was the usual crappy weather and the pigeon ring went down. We'll have it up and running for our August shoot.

Eric Eis
05-15-2016, 09:19 PM
Can someone tell me how I have to mow my lawn on Friday (sunny) and I go to a shoot on Saturday and get hit with 40 degree temps, high winds, lots of rain and oh let's throw in some sleet and snow. Yeah the weather sucked but we still had fun. Paul the August shoot will be sunny, I promise.
