The article "Unhooking" Explained by Brian Dudley in Parker Pages is a masterpiece! Now I can understand why sometimes I encountered a hammerless Parker that would not unhook before the hammers were let down.

The PGCA is blessed to have Brian who can understand and explain the interworking of our guns.

Many thanks, Brian. Wish it paid better.

Merry Christmas,

Charlie Price

Thank you charlie,
I am trying to think of usefull technical information that i can put into articles for PP as i can. I have some more in the works.

This particular one is a subject that i think most are somewhat familar with and could have learned something from.
I am sure it is not the "be all end all" on the subject. There may be some other factors that add to the unhooking issue that i may have not yet discovered, but i could only write based on my own experiences.

I have been waking up in the middle of the night this past week, so do a little reading waiting for the meds to kick in. Reading always helps me get back to sleep.
Last night I read, then re-read Brian's PP piece. I was Wide awake when I put the magazine down. I found it well written and easily understood.

I wish I had that information available a couple of years ago before it was necessary to send my 28 gauge VHE to Abe Chaber to fix what I had ignorantly done to it...

Nice work Brian!

Dean, I know that must have been a painful invoice to read!!

Kevin, it wasn't so much the invoice amount as it was the embarrassment of the whole episode...

Brian: I read your article three times and I think I understand the mechanics. It's not your writing but the complication of the Parker gun that challenges this 66 year old brain!! Great Job and I really appreciate your efforts. Thanks for all you do to share the knowledge!!

You could complain to Charles King about it, but i doibt he would have much to say.

Regarding Mr. King. His response would be dead right.
