I was in one of my safes the other day, perusing and handling some of my SxS guns, when lo and behold, I did have an extra Parker hammer gun!!!! I knew I had a top-lever 12g, I just wasn't sure where I had it. Sometimes having the attention span of a gnat is a good thing, and I was pleasantly surprised that I really did have it!!! It is a pretty gun, nice wood and the bbls are sweet. I did shoot the gun well. Only reason I forgot about it was I left it behind a couple years ago and picked up a Parker Under-lifter and had been enjoying that gun since. Now I have a "new" gun to shoot this winter!! Merry Christmas to me!! Maybe I'll get some pics posted here soon. I hope you all enjoy some "surprises" this Christmas!!

Good. Now you can shoot the hammer event with us at the Spring Southern Sunday morning.
Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year.
All my best,

Just like you mike I also found a hammer 12 about a week ago. Found the letter first. That made me start looking. I don't think I have even fired this gun. Its kind of a pleasant surprise.

I loaned a gun out about twenty five years ago and I remember what it was and that I loaned it out but I cant for the life of me remember who I loaned it to. It never came back.

Someone will be hunting a dove field someday and find a rusted antique. Hope my memory dose not get worse as I get older.

The only cure for this kind of memory laps is to buy another Parker quickly. If you buy enough of them you can find one to shoot when you need one.

You don't need a cure. Just keep putting them in the back of the safe and every few months you'll have a nice surprise

I have the same problem, found a 20 Gauge Parker VH, I bought years ago and even forgot to put in computer gun inventory, I am planning to inventory all guns this year and see what else I have, 116 and counting, I need mental help, I think.
