Charlie per the SN book it is a 10 gauge. Pretty heavy 10.

I believe the largest frame size made by Parker was a 7. But i may be mistaken.

The weight stamp is a little hard to read in the photo. Could be a 5 or a 6 also.

Charlie you missed a good one. I blew up the pics and to me the lug is stamped 3 and the barrel weight is stamped 8 4. Seller claims mismatched serial numbers but frame and forend match. I think he was looking at the order book number stamped on the water table. Maybe someone here got it and can clarify. That gun looked good to go to me.

If it was a 3 frame then at least Charlie didn't miss an 8 gauge

Assuming no fatal issues, that was a good buy. There will be other good buys though

A friend who has probably bought and sold hundreds of Parkers failed to bid on an outrageous high condition hammer gun, thinking the order number was a mismatch. I was at the auction with him, bought the gun for next to nothing after the auctioneer brought the "mismatch" to the attention of bidders.

I think he was looking at the order book number stamped on the water table. .

is the order number sometimes on the water table?

i thought people got confused when the order number was on the barrel flats - and the serial number was on the side of the lug

i have a 3 frame the barrels are 30 inches factory that weigh 7 lbs 14 ounce it woulda had a sister with those 8 lb 4 ounce barrels...with the weight of these barrels it would not have kicked much for sure...these are the heaviest weight barrels in 10 ga i have run across but i know some of the members have barrels that weigh more...charlie

I have only ever seen the order number on the barrel flat of the right barrel.
