I'm new to Parker, and new to this forum.
Recently acquired a 10 gauge, external hammer, (1886) Parker that had the barrels cut to 18.5".
Everything seems tight, but I'm wondering if there are any factory 10 gauge loads that I reasonably expect to shoot safely.
The local gun shop only had 3.5" 10 gauge with steel shot and that didn't seem right to me.

Thanks.

look on pete lesters list of 10 ga loadings..a good load for your gun if it is in good shape especially the barrels would be a load of 19 grains of reddot and 1 1/8 ounce of lead shot...i have shot this load many times...charlie
