Some of the nicest engraving I have ever seen, would like to see the floor plate. Does anyone know what type of pattern those barrels are? Great gun, thanks Paul.

Paul graciously shared pics of those barrels with me some time ago. Remington called them 'Pieper P'
It is a Chine' (mottled or variegated) pattern.

Paul: How about another ultra close up high resolution shot of those incredible barrels? Thanks!

Now I see why the late sporting dog painter and also Curator of the Toledo (Ohio, not Spain) Museum of Art preferred his Remington 12 bore ejector grade doubles. Edmund Osthaus had good taste indeed.

I wonder how many hours it took to complete this engraving? Any ideas?
