In the gun room yesterday and noticed I had forgotten to empty the cigar ash tray, the room had a familiar odor to it, one that I had smelled in my childhood many times when visiting some of dads friends who hunted. that same smell from all the guns that had been oiled, Cigar smoke, and old gun cases, I guess most of you can relate to that, maybe this gun had something to do with it, Gary

Thank you for sharing these wonderful pieces in your collection Gary.

That's the smell of men - or rather, sportsmen - and the tools of their trade.

What a wonderful gun that one is... they just don't get much better!

It's that smelly old shotgun that's stinking up your gun room. Better send it north as my gun room smells as bad as it looks:rotf:

Pretty soon we can add the smell of hunting boots to the mix, less than a month away.

Gary great display of a fine Parker I love the tattered case and your fine collection of shells and reloading tools.
I love the smell you refer to our duck clubhouse takes on that smell after a few days into the season-----may I also add the smell of a wet lab curled up in front of the fireplace. Thanks Craig Larter

There is something about the smell of old gun cases. Can't quite put my finger, or nose, on it but the aroma conjurs up times gone by.
