Finished up my "standard" short 10 loading. Going to Drakes Landing next weekend for the SxS shoot. Both courses 75 birds each and two rounds of the 5 stand, 200 targets. Used every 10 G hull I have. Lot of work first time around for most of the hulls, trimming skivving etc.
Don't ask me why the photo is on it's side, some quirk of PhotoBucket.

I'm impressed. What sort of block are your shells mounted in?

Inserts from MTM 100 round shot shell boxes. Most are 12 G but you can order 10 G inserts that fit from Ballistic products. Other Gauges I keep in Paper 25 round boxes 10's deserve a dedicated box !

Charlie I will post a photo of the box tomorrow. By the way shifted from your 19 of Red Dot load, because I use RD in my 12s did not want to use it up and had 10 lbs of Green Dot. Be interesting when I pull the Cronograph out , velocity of RD 19 vs GD 22.5 loads.
Every load has its place, shoot 200 10s even light 1 1/8 oz Tens , same day low recoil is a primary goal. This load is a soft shooter.

Shot most of them up yesterday at Drakes. Tell you what 200 clay targets with a 10 lb Parker Hammer 10 G 96 degree day is a piece of work. In fact I switched to my 12 G 1 1/2 frame 26 inch VHE for the 50 shot 5 stand.
For Clays that 22.5 Grain Green Dot 1 1/8 oz Green Dot load is a good one. Modest recoil it breaks targets with real authority. Use that gun on targets it was built for, long and smooth as good as any SxS. Close fast it suffer some.

I shot my 30" SG 2-frame VH12 at clays yesterday then switched to a 26" 1-1/2 VH12 and couldn't believe the difference in heft. It felt like switching to a 16ga.

After using a 9000H for 12ga and then going to my 600jr for 10ga work I really appreciate 100 loaded 10ga shells. Looks great.
