I didn't know what topic to post this under so I just did it here. I had to share this with everyone because we may never see one like this again...
I have no dog in this race so have at it and lay all the praise on it that it deserves. Too bad these cell phones don't capture the true beauty of these things. No I didn't buy it... I may be sorry later.

Dean that gun is all you my friend. If anything screamed Romig it's that gun. I would make this modification once you get her home and that is to trash that ugly recoil pad and fit it with a Morgan adjustable pad. That coupled with the comb and you can dial it right in. i can 100 straights in your near future.
PS If its a 12 don't forget to port the barrels...mabe some Briley screw in chokes :duck:

I can see that I'm in the wrong business. I need to sharpen up my adze and chainsaw and go into the stock making business!

Totally OT, but I have a friend who chops (not turns) out hand-made wooden bowls with an adze. He goes to a lot of craft shows to do demos along with his neighbor, who happens to make damascus knives. So naturally, they worked a deal and now he has a damascus adze. Talk about cool!

I think I saw this gun in Rutland about 12 years ago, in company of a more conventional try gun also built on a VH frame. The the stock and metal work were not adaptations of commercially available parts but apparently made by the gunsmith / fitter. My guess is that this one was an attempt at a competition dimension try gun.The butt plate is adjustable, as I remember.

I do believe or friend "Long Range" would have the Morgan pad on that and have it down in "the bottoms" killing birds!!

Hey guys?
Can you pleeeze take this off-line, as it sure looks like this thread took a "left turn"? ;)
Not-to-mention the fact that Dean found his "treasured" Parker at KTP - which - you noticed - he visits only when I'M NOT THERE!!! :D
Thanks and best to all!

John, it's all about the Warden allowing time off for good behavior
However, there was a pretty nice 12/30" PH I would have bought if I needed another 12 ga. and decent LeFever with a neat set of Twist or Lam barrels and a few decent Trojans too, all out on the floor but no Parkers in the racks behind the counters.... somebody at KTP probably got a tipoff that I was coming so they stashed away all the better Parkers

Well- I have exactly "no comment" about where all the good Parker's are stashed at KTP :) HEH!!!
As well - my "warden" is taking me on vacation tomorrow to Florida!!! :) I asked if she wanted to go to Haiti for "tourist season" (which is next week, BTW?) - but she didn't buy it?? Instead, she opted for a week in Florida..?? Go figure?? Anyway - I'll have my warden call yours - and see if we can't get you off for "good behavior"...
BTW as well - as I'm out of town - you are in charge again... This week - try NOT to bring the server down as you did the last time I left you in charge, OK?? HAH!!!
BTW as well - again..?? In your avatar - why are you hunting cows in a field??? Just thought I'd ask... ;)
Best to you Dean!!!

'cause I can't seem to hit them itty-bitty turkeys - gol-ram them things!!... and cows stand still besides presentin' a somewhat larger target.
Oh (groan...) Thanks for leaving me in charge again. I surely do remember the last time when you gave me your admin password and I got to fiddlin' around in there - boy I screwed it up that time didn't I?? :biglaugh:
Hey - You better spend some time at the Southern whilst you're in the South. I am especially sad that I will not be there cause I sure would like to sit down with Jen and talk with her about you
