I'm not sure what the terminology for the butt plate is called ,does anyone know? It is similar to the skeleton but is just capped at heel and toe. Thomas

They are "Heel & Toe Plates" in the Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Co. catalogue.

Those seem like unusually tall hammers on that gun. Or is it just the angle of the photos that make them look long.

Heel & toe plates are the correct term. And from what I can see, this old lady looks to be in nice shape for her age.
These tall hammers are often encountered on hammer guns of this era. They are often called "Hare's ear" hammers for obvious reasons. I will bet the locks are not rebounding.
I wonder if Thomas will put this one up for sale?

It does have some tall hammers on it.I can't believe after all these years that it is in this great condition. I will be taking it to the Missoula show in a couple weeks. This gun came out of Canada about 15 years ago. Thomas
