So I know early Trojans were very standard on chokes but later had somewhat more variation.
This all comes to the point of my question.
I am looking at a trojan 12ga with 30" barrels choke imp cylinder and cylinder. Since there are only 6 or 8 12ga Trojans over 30" I am pretty certain barrels are correct length, not sure of the chokes.
It dates to 1924.

A couple options... The seller may not have a proper way of measuring choke construction and it not giving accurate choke measurements, the chokes are altered/barrels cut, or the gun was ordered that way.

It would be extremely unusual that a Trojan would have been made with 30" barrels and those chokes.... but there is probably no way to determine chokes or "pellets" within the 30" test circle on that gun. Measure the length of the chokes and measure the length of the parallel at the muzzle end of the choke. Original Parker Bros. chokes should measure at least 3" long and should have a 1/4" - 3/8" parallel.
A specially ordered Trojan with 30" barrels choked IC/C ?...... I would wager a large pile that it never left Meriden that way.
Either way, that would not be a good gun to use for sporting clays.

It would be great on our course. Don't think there's a shot over 25 yards.
