View Full Version : Mild Tremor in Philadelphia Vicinity??

Receiving scattered reports that the USGS confirmed there was a mild, 2.8 tremor that was felt through certain sections of Philadelphia this afternoon at around 2:37 pm. Thankfully, no damage or injuries reported and it appears that most all of the "shakin' going on" was in the vicinity of N. 18th St. and Windram Ave. Hmmm, that rings a distant bell?

CNN interviewed one eye witness to the event (pictured below) who was obviously in a mild state of shock and was heard mumbling the same words over and over, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." No clue on that one, perhaps more news at 11? :corn:

It may have been Ben Franklin turning over in his grave because of the events in Baltimore.

Got it Steve. The tremor thing threw me off track for a minute. I just figured it was the pressure building for the "Rumble in the Hollow" coming up that first weekend in June.:)

I am not ready to admit Parkers are superior but I do admit they are not bad for a second choice.:rotf:

If it makes you feel better, I am pretty sure my next major purchase will be a Fox. Getting money in place now to strike

I'm with you Mills, Just picked up a sweet little Fox SPE 20- all the bells and whistles. Can't wait to shoot it at Ernie's. Also found a sweet little LC Smith, 20ga. OO grade w/ejectors which will be for sale at Ernie's in June.

I'm with both of you guys, I love em all but my taste is heavily skewed toward waterfowl guns regardless of the manufacturer. My new D #6 frame 36" 10ga hammer gun is in the same gun rack as my #2 frame DH 30" bbl gun. I get a big smile on my face ever time I look at them together, the big D makes the #2 frame look like a 410. Collecting vintage SxS's is the best regardless of manufacturer. Looking forward to seeing ya all at Ernie's.

Nothing worst than being a day late or a dollar short.

Sure is. Probably not a good idea to get a great duck gun this time of year when turkey season is going out and we are 6 months away from duck season.

Yes Mills, but great duck guns often make formidable turkey thumpers! I wouldn't want to be that "Long Beard" who steps within 50 yards of a Super Fox!

I'm taking a wild guess that you missed out on an "HE?"

Even I am being wooed to procure a few more guns, hammer and hammerless by a maker other than Fox for those Southern events. But, they are made in NY, not CT!! Those folks love inviting me to steak dinners.
