Safety Spring for 1 1/2 VH?

I have a buddy who currently owns a 1 1/2 frame vh: He took it to our local gunsmith to have it taken apart and cleaned/examined.
Buddy is out of USA at present, and gunsmith called me and said the "Safety Spring" is cracked and will eventually fail.
He doesn't know where to get one, and I don't either.
Any Ideas?

There are two different styles of safety springs. I have both of he needs one. But would need a pic to confirm the style.
