storage?

I have recently acquired a DHE and would like to know if it is best to store it uncocked (dry fired on snap caps) or otherwise. I primarily want to ensure the ejectors are not placed under any undue strain. I have read on the forum that dry firing is not harmful. Thank you.

I have heard that it makes no difference weather the spring is stored compressed or relaxed, the wear/fatigue occurs when cycling the spring.

Perhaps a bigger issue is the chance of rust, etc

Perhaps I did not phrase my question well. I am comfortable with the care and maintenance of firearms.

Having read that Parker ejectors are complex, somewhat fragile, and difficult to repair, is it best to store one's ejector gun closed- 1. action closed hammers cocked, 2. action closed, dry fired (thus the ejectors would be under tension) or 3. some other way ie. barrels separated from frame?

I plan to use and hunt with this gun regularly and want to ensure that longevity of its parts and function are not compromised by inadequate knowledge on my part.

I don't believe it really matters, regarding spring tension et. al.

I agree with Dean. However, I use snap caps just 'cause they're cool :)!
